THOUGHTS FROM THE PRESIDENT

Like the “the great commission” in Matt 28 where Jesus told us to go into the whole world and preach the gospel, I believe that as Christians we are also commissioned to take care of the poor. Isaiah 58 clearly states this as one of the condition to enjoy the blessing of the Lord and for our prayers to be answered.

Jesus in the temple opens the bible and read that the Spirit of God is upon him to preach the gospel to the poor. One way of doing this is to also take care of their physical needs as can be seen from the miraculous feeding of the over 5000 people. My pastor often uses an analogy that if we want to witness to someone who is standing in the rain we should first hand the person an umbrella then we can proceed to explain to them the love of Christ.

I love the scripture that says “how can we say we have the love of God when we see our brothers without and do not help him, also if we have prophesy and all the gifting of the Holy Spirit operating in our life and have not charity then we are as a sounding cymbal, in other words we are noise makers and should go and sit down, this then give me a clear understanding of Matt. 25:34 – when Jesus will say to some of the saints depart from me I never know you. (Scary this is) Jesus stated in the said scripture that as much as we help the least among us, we are really helping Him. Wow and double Wow, isn’t it wonderful to know that there is actually a physical way of embracing our Lord and Saviour, of loving Him, of feeding Him. I am fill with awe whenever I think of this specific scripture. 

I believe that our relationship with God and how we impact the lives of the people around us is what determines who we are. God spoke to Abraham and said I will bless you and you should be a blessing in other words don’t just hoard what I give to you, (as is common in the lives of many) but be sure to be a distributor of my blessing after all it is better to give than to receive. I love the bible, its power is yet to be unravel because on it’s pages is the Creator of the universe, The Word is God.

Well, I‘ve said a lot above but if asked to sum up what are my thoughts and belief in a few words I will tell you this; ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT JESUS IS LORD. In Him rest the God head. He is the Word that becomes flesh. The bread of life, My Saviour and yours, He is Adonai, He is the beginning and the end, on His own He is the great I AM in every situation, the lover of my soul, He is the only deliverer, The only Way, I would also tell you that it’s not possible to sum up God because He is bigger than what people say.
